Description

Weld-On 1910 High Strength Flexible Solvent Cement for Vinyl Bonding

Weld-On 1910 flexible solvent cement is a clear, medium-bodied adhesive designed for high-strength bonding of flexible vinyl (PVC) and compatible thermoplastics. It cures rapidly at room temperature to form a strong, flexible, water-resistant bond suitable for long-term use in demanding applications.
If you need a more flexible option for vinyl-to-fabric or mixed-material applications, see Weld-On 4784 flexible adhesive.

What is Weld-On 1910 Used For?

Weld-On 1910 is commonly used in vinyl fabrication, upholstery work, and flexible plastic assembly where a strong yet flexible bond is required. It is ideal for applications where materials must bend, flex, or move without cracking the adhesive joint over time.

Weld-On® 1910 is a clear, medium-bodied solvent cement with high strength. Curing rapidly at room temperature, the results are a very strong, flexible, water resistant bond. Indications are that service life for a number of years may be expected under normal use.

* Some yellowing may occur.

Common Applications

Weld-On 1910 flexible solvent cement is widely used in professional and industrial environments where durable vinyl bonding is required.

  • Flexible vinyl (PVC) bonding and fabrication
  • Vinyl upholstery repair and assembly
  • Sealing vinyl seams and joints
  • Thermoplastic bonding in light fabrication work
  • General-purpose flexible adhesive applications

Why Use Weld-On 1910?

Unlike rigid adhesives, Weld-On 1910 is formulated to remain flexible after curing. This allows bonded materials to move, stretch, and flex without breaking the bond over time.

It is especially useful when working with vinyl materials that experience constant movement, vibration, or environmental stress such as temperature changes.

SUBSTRATE RECOMMENDATIONS

This adaptable formula works well with flexible or rigid vinyl (PVC) to itself and a variety of other thermoplastics and compatible materials used in vinyl fabrication and repair.

Bonding Recommendations

Weld-On 1910 is a high-strength flexible cement commonly used for bonding vinyl materials where durability and flexibility are both required.

  • Bonding flexible vinyl sheets and assemblies
  • Repairing or sealing vinyl seams
  • General-purpose flexible plastic bonding

Application Tips

For best results, ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from oils or contaminants before application. Apply evenly and allow proper contact pressure during initial cure.

Working time is limited, so proper alignment before bonding is important for achieving the strongest results.
